A dotted lemon with a leaf to trace and colour, a dotted uppercase L below, and the line L for Lemon.
An L is a vertical line down and a horizontal line along the bottom. Two strokes, both in the directions a young hand controls first, meeting at a right angle. Alongside C and H it is one of the easiest capitals there is.
Coming straight after K, that is not an accident of the alphabet but it is worth using. A child who has just struggled with two diagonals meeting a spine can finish this one cleanly, and ending a session on something achieved is worth more than getting one letter closer to Z.
The only thing to watch is a bottom bar that slopes upward, which happens when the hand pivots from the wrist rather than moving across.
The lemon is a single rounded outline with a small leaf, so the tracing is straightforward too. This is a good sheet for a short session.

Common questions
The bottom of the L slopes upward.
That happens when the hand pivots from the wrist instead of moving across the page. Anchoring the paper with the other hand often fixes it on its own.

Yes. It is one of the easiest capitals, so it works well after a difficult letter like K when your child needs to finish something cleanly.
