What is on the page, and how to get the most out of it.
A dotted nose to trace and colour, a dotted uppercase N beneath, and the line N for Nose.
An N is three strokes: a vertical, a diagonal running down to the right, and another vertical. Fewer movements than an M, and the diagonal runs the full height rather than meeting a point partway.
This is the capital children reverse most often, and it stays reversed longer than B or D do. A backwards N has the diagonal running the other way, and because the letter is otherwise symmetrical there is nothing obviously wrong with the result. Nothing looks broken, which is exactly why it persists.
Do not treat it as a warning sign. Reversed capitals are ordinary well past five, and pointing at the dotted guide and following the diagonal together does more than telling a child it is the wrong way round.
The nose is one of the simplest pictures in the set and, unlike the igloo, a thing your child can look at on their own face.

Common questions
My child writes N backwards and does not notice.
The letter is otherwise symmetrical, so a reversed N does not look broken. That is why it persists longer than B or D confusion, and it is ordinary well past five.
How do I help without making it a correction?
Follow the diagonal together on the dotted guide rather than saying it is the wrong way round. The direction is easier to feel than to be told.
