A dotted yo-yo on a looping string to trace and colour, a dotted uppercase Y beneath, and the line Y for Yo-Yo.
A Y is a V with a stem hanging below it, three strokes. If the V sheet is done, this is one addition rather than a new shape, in the same way an R is a P with a leg.
The stem is where it goes wrong. It has to drop from the exact point where the two diagonals meet, and children often attach it slightly to one side, which makes the letter lean. Worth pointing at the join before they start rather than correcting afterwards.
A Y is also one of the easier letters to say aloud while writing, because the shape and the sound both begin at the top and travel down. Saying it while tracing helps more here than on most letters.
The yo-yo string is a long looping curve, the closest thing in this set to freehand line practice, and children usually enjoy tracing it more than the letter.

Common questions
My child attaches the Y stem to one side.
That makes the letter lean. The stem needs to drop from the exact point where the diagonals meet, so pointing at that join before they begin works better than fixing it afterwards.
