What is on the page, and how to get the most out of it.

A Z is three strokes drawn without lifting: across the top, down the diagonal, and across the bottom. All straight lines, and the only real difficulty is the diagonal, which runs down and to the left, the opposite way from the diagonal in an N.
That opposition is why Z joins S as one of the two most reversed letters. A backwards Z is a balanced shape and looks perfectly fine on the page, so children rarely spot it themselves.
The two bars should be roughly the same length. Children often make the bottom one longer, which tips the letter forward.
This is the last sheet in the alphabet set, and it is worth marking. Finishing twenty six letters is a real thing for a young child, whether it took two months or eight, and the zoo gate makes a reasonable finishing line to colour.

Common questions
My child writes Z backwards.
Z and S are the two most reversed letters. A backwards Z looks balanced on the page, so children rarely notice it themselves. It settles with time rather than correction.
